Grace is a high school senior. Following through with her passion for math, she enjoys solving math problems. She is on her school’s math team and the New York City Math Team as well. Even though she started attending math competitions much later than the majority of her peers, she has made many noticeable achievements. Besides working in the field of mathematics, she was also awarded in the Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition and the DECA Finance Regional competition. Meanwhile, she is also attending the Manhattan School of Music Piano Pre-college program and her school’s varsity volleyball team.

STEVEN LOU

​
Steven is currently a sophomore at a specialized High School in New York. His passion for math developed at a very young age. Throughout his math competition path, he has had many distinguished achievements, including a perfect score on the AMC 8 and representing the New York State Team at Mathcounts Nationals. He is also on the NYC math team, representing the city in a number of high school competitions like the HMMT, BMT, PUMaC, NYSML and ARML. In addition, he loves to teach others about math, devoting time to volunteering for a competition math class and giving lessons to younger kids. Besides math, he has always loved playing and learning strategy games. He continues to pursue his math dreams and works hard for future high school math competitions.

MARTIN Y. Chen

Martin will be a freshman at a G&T school in Manhattan in this fall. He is on the school's math team where he pursues his passion for math. He participates in a variety of math competitions,
he has had many achievements in MATHCOUNTS, AMC and qualified for the AIME. Apart from math, Martin plays the viola in the school orchestra. He is an avid reader and writer, as well as an enthusiastic artist.

Lisa will be a Junior at SCAHS in the fall. She is currently the News Editor for her school’s publications, and will be the Editor-in-Chief for the publication in the upcoming school year. She has been with Manhattan-Ace, both as a student and tutoring students for her entire high school career. Currently she is a tutor/teacher for the writing club, and loves every single student she helps. She loves nothing more than being able to help others and building a fun, welcoming, and open classroom environment.

Eric Xie​

Eric is an eighth grader from Maryland who enjoys learning and teaching math. He has excelled in math competitions from a young age, having qualified for AIME every year since 5th grade. In seventh grade, he had a USAJMO index of 230+ and qualified for MATHCOUNTS Nationals. He has also earned various honors in other math competitions, including winning 4th in the Math Open at Andover (Virtual), honorable mention at Stanford Math Tournament (SMT) and awards in other high school competitions like ARML. He loves teaching advanced mathematical concepts to his students and introducing innovative ways to solve problems. Outside of math, he plays piano, violin, and basketball, and he also enjoys reading about history.

Sherry Dong

​Sherry is a junior in high school, with a strong passion for mathematics and qualified for the AIME. Beyond math, Sherry is fascinated by chemistry, enjoying the challenge of understanding the complexities of molecules and reactions. In addition to academics, she finds joy in playing the piano, appreciating the technique and creativity that music offers. Sherry is always eager to teach, learn, grow, and push boundaries in pursuit of her passions.
